Mountain race in the middle of the Norwegian Alps at Sunnmøre

Saudehorn straight up – from 0 to 1303 metres above sea level

- from sea tangle to summit

Saturday 2 August 2008 we welcome you to the mountain race Saudehorn straight up!
The race had the status of Norwegian National Championship in 2006, and has the last few years been a really festive occasion with roughly 1000 competitors.

This year we hope to repeat the success and invite you to Ørsta to climb one of the jewels of the Norwegian Alps!

Saudehornet is just simply a fantastic view point. Come and see for yourself!
Both to the east and the south you can see hundreds of summits, and to the west you can see many islets and islands all the way to the Norwegian Sea!

The organizers invite you to a long weekend in Ørsta, to Saudehorn straight up, the small boat meet and farm & craft market (01-03 August) at Ørsta’s biggest meeting place; Ørsta Small Boat Marina.

Ørsta Small Boat Marina was in 2002 elected one of the best small boat marinas in the country.

Furthermore there will also be a farm & craft market, a sales exhibition with a lot of exciting products. There will be musical entertainment, the world’s best “svele” (a local speciality), barbeque and other dishes etc. We end the evening with a big dance accompanied by great music into the late hours of the summer night.
